The number of women in employment in the UK is increasing at a faster rate than in any other of the world’s most advanced economies, official figures show. The figures released by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) showed the sharpest growth in female employment among the G7 group of leading nations, with women in employment in the UK growing by 1.79% in the past year.
