Personal brand-building ‘vital’ for career develop

Should you be editing your MySpace profile or tailoring your CV when it comes to finding your new job? The answer is both. A survey by IT recruitment specialists Harvey Nash has found that 93% of respondents said it was important for them to devote time and effort on developing their personal brand, with as many as 90% registered on professional networking sites compared to just 50% who posted their CV’s on a job site. It’s a trend that we’ve been capitalising on at Chapple and a must-have skill we believe everyone should learn (see ‘Personal Branding’ article below). “The modern day job-search should be multi-faceted as much as targeted and bespoke,” says Suzannah, “considering all avenues of potential client / candidate match, particularly at senior executive level. “Whilst there’s no substitute for traditional face-to-face methods of networking, we ensure that our clients and candidates are using the additional resources available to their best potential.” If you’d like to know more about how Chapple can help your career, please call us on 020 7384 3092 or e-mail us at: mailto:theteam@chapple.ltd.uk
